As the editor, I, John Dias, support the application of the law without prejudice or bias. Polanski did accept a plea bargain, but has not been punished for the crime. The passage of time does not negate that fact.

While application of a (good) law, without impartiality is an excellent place to start, one must never forget that the VICTIM is the one who suffered (if in fact the allegations are true, of course) and they can also release/forgive the violator if they so choose.

Actually, this brings up a good topic.
